Three Generations Of Crane Work

Aero Crane Service is the crane rental arm of a family business that started as Kay's Trucking in 1939. We grew through freight, moving and storage, and rigging before we put our first hydraulic crane on the road in 1984. Today our fleet covers Connecticut and the Northeast from one yard in South Windsor.

Our Story

From A 1939 Cartage Company To Today's Crane Fleet

Kay's Trucking was founded in Connecticut in 1939 as a local cartage freight carrier. George Bolduc bought the business in 1961 and grew it through union freight, then expanded into household moving and storage — work we still do across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and internationally today. Crane rigging came up through the moving work as George's children joined in the 1970s, and American Rigging was formed mid-decade to give that side its own identity. In 1984 we bought Aero Crane — then a sign-crane outfit — and Norm Bolduc put our first hydraulic crane on the road. The fleet has been growing ever since. Today Aero Crane Service dispatches operated cranes from 25 to 770 tons out of our South Windsor yard, with the same family still at the helm.
